Bruce Springsteen and My Spiritual Team are Talking- Here’s What They’re Saying

Hello Friendsbruce

Its been a while, and boy is it nice to be back! This post is a little long but bear with me, I promise this is not a trend! You may be wondering why Bruce and my spiritual team which includes Jesus, Mary, and my Guardian Angels and are talking to little o’l me. Well, because I asked for help.

This past year has been a transitional, stressful year for our family – my husband Pete accepted a job in Chicago, the twins were entering their junior year known as “college prep stress year”,  my youngest was entering as a freshman and my aging mother in law was requiring more care. The years of hard work of building my business was finally paying off and I was hitting my stride. Great, but I was struggling with how to manage it all. In particular, what to do with my business. There were a lot of uncertainties- How long were we staying in the Winchester? How will my husband’s absence effect the kids? Do I stop working completely? There were days when I would go to yoga – my calm haven – and I couldn’t even breath during the Ommm. Crazy!

To lighten my work load I decided to let go of my food line- The Hummus and Dark Chocolate, sorry folks –  and cut back on my group programs. Next, I proceeded to hit the prayers, asking for Clarity and guidance on where to take my business – I didn’t want to give it up entirely, because deep in my heart of hearts I felt that there was something more for me to do. I placed my Clarity signs thought the house and decided to give this decision up to God. Phew!

The year plotted along and I became a spiritual junkie – participating in any program the church had to offer – Advent study of Mary, the Mathew Kelly Best Lent Ever program – Loved them all and I was starting to feel a sense a calm. In the spring, while running my Ayurveda Reset program, I participated in  a course on Connecting to Your Angels given by my friend Ramona Ramesat. We are told that we all have guardian angels there to guide and protect us- we just have to ask for their help. Boy, do they make their presence known when you do! It’s so true- Ask and you Shall Receive! My worries and stress started to melt away- It was like a I hit the trifecta to happiness-  letting go with prayer and connection to my spiritual guides, exercising daily and eating well. I never felt better!

Separated in Russia, siblings meet in Winchester

ice cream! Our glorious summer was kicked off by my daughter Leslie (adopted from Russia) being reunited with her Russian sister after 14 years – it was a joyous occasion and truly a blessing from God. Here is a link to their heartwarming story Along with the good came some very sad news – the unexpected death of yet another young man in our town. I was devastated because it was the son of a good friend. My kids received the news on a bus as they were returning from Washington DC. They had participated in the service retreat, Encounter -with Sal their youth minister. Sadly, this was not the first death that they experienced. What helped with the pain, was that they were together when they received the shocking news about their friend. A thought  keep gnawing at me- what about all those kids who had no support, who are not spiritually connected or who are alone feeling anxious, depressed? Those kids or any individual craving a place where they can be quiet, at peace or learn how to deal with their grief, anxieties or  depression. I was feeling a deep pull to help but didn’t know how.

Denise & Vanessa Join to Open Chrysalis Center – for  Meditation and Wellness

It was on the day of the young man’s service that I had a meeting with Vanessa Gobes “The Meditation Gal”- I almost didn’t go because I was still so distraught. But something was pushing me to meet with her. As Vanessa began talking about the meditation center she was opening, it became very apparent that our personal missions were aligned and that if we joined together and used our sisterhood energy we could bring together a soulful hub, a  Meditation and Wellness center for our community  – So when she asked me to join her the answer was obvious to me- YES! YES! YES!

I was so excited but of course there were things to consider  How was this going to effect my family? Would it be successful? How much is this going to cost us? It’s happening so fast!

This is where Bruce and my spiritual team comes in – Later that day, after my discussion with Pete about the possibility of this new venture, we were at mass. The theme of the priest’s homily was about how many people have hungry hearts (Haaats- thick Boston accent) – they filling their their lives with material things, alcohol, food yet are still feeling  anxious, depressed, or a void  inside. What they are really experiencing is being just spiritually hungry.  Then I get into the car and guess what playing- “Hungry Heart” by Bruce Springsteen- Humm I see a theme here.

The next weekend we are in Maratha’s Vineyard and the priest is talking about Hungry Hearts and being spiritually hungry – they played the  hymn – the St. Frances prayer – Make Me a Channel of Your Peace…” hummm another sign?? Ok, Ok I get it- I am listening and accepting what God is presenting before me – to move forward, join Vanessa in making Chrysalis Center a community  hub for All young and old  to learn how to be at peace and happy through knowledge, meditation and living a healthy lifestyle. A place where we can offer support and encouragement and ultimately spread peace and compassion into our community.  Yes, this is where I need to be!!  I truly believe that I was meant to meet with Vanessa on that sad day. My year long prayers for  Clarity have been answered -hallelujah!

Let me tell you about what we offer at The Chrysalis Center

Earlier I mentioned how great I felt when I was combining prayer/meditation, healthy eating and movement- This is what the body craves to keep it feeling stress free, happy and vibrant. At Chrysalis we are bringing all these components together with a foundation in mindfulness and meditation . I will admit, I didn’t have a daily practice of guided meditation. I was more of a pray the rosary, go to mass and yogi gal.  Now I am hooked on daily meditation! I feel calmer inside, focused,  more compassionate towards others and down right happy!  Mostly, I love the simplicity, anyone can do it and there’s no need for special clothes! If I can feel this great among the stress of starting a new business – I’m keeping up with a meditation practice for life!

The Chrysalis Center is located in Winchester at 28 Church Street insidethechrysalis.com – Drop in @ 12 for 25 min just 5.00

Curious? Come on in! We host daily meditation sittings for adults, teens, and kids – 25 minutes for $5. Cheap cheap! We have several talented teachers who introduce different styles of meditation every day. Wednesday is my main day where I will be leading classes  starting with a 6:15 – 6:45 am silent meditation walk at Wright- Locke Farm, followed by the 9:00 Wellness class that implements meditation and a single health action each week then I  round out the day with a 12 meditation class. Also, every month on the full moon we guide a silent walking meditation at Wright-Locke Farm. This Month we meet at on Sunday @ 9:00. This is a real treat- the moon beaming down on the farm is so magical!

Obtaining  knowledge is important for real change- we offer expert workshops on many topics like- mental health, mindfulness, and nutritional workshops for both adults and the youth. Our programs max out at 10 people, allowing intimate conversations and personal connections with experts.

We also  offer soul coaching, Chakra cleansing, past life regression, astrology, angel card reading, table tipping. We are teamed up with some truly fabulous initiatives. This is the fun stuff – come with a  girlfriend, parent, or sibling!
